Bare-Metal Server Delivery Process
How a bare-metal order moves from payment to delivery, when you can cancel it yourself while waiting, and how to sign in after delivery.
Unlike a VPS, a bare-metal server requires manual racking and configuration, so delivery takes time.
Delivery process
- Order and pay: choose the configuration, set the hostname and root password, and pay. The order enters the waiting queue.
- Configuring: after an operations engineer accepts the order, installation and configuration begin.
- Delivered: the instance status changes to Running, and you can sign in with the password set during the order.
Track progress at any time under Console → Bare Metal → Instance details. You receive a notification when the status changes.
Want to cancel while waiting?
You can cancel and receive a refund from the order or instance page while operations has not started configuration and the order is still waiting. After configuration begins, submit a ticket to discuss the request.
After delivery
- Sign in using the hostname and root password set during the order.
- If you forgot the password or need to reset it, see Password Reset Guide or submit a ticket.
- Expiration renewal and automatic renewal work the same way as for VPS instances. See Automatic Renewal.
