What to do when a domain is on Hold

Check the domain status at https://lookup.icann.org/en/lookup

Domain status:

clientHold

If the WHOIS domain status includes Hold, no operations are possible — the domain cannot be resolved/used and cannot be transferred.

In most cases this happens because of a complaint from a U.S. company (or an agent).

If you are sure there has been no abuse, phishing or infringement, please provide the relevant use case and evidence, along with proof that you have not infringed anyone's trademark. We will help you communicate with the domain registry, but we cannot guarantee the Hold can be lifted.
