Configure Domain DNS Records

Add or change DNS records for a domain in the console, understand propagation time, and resolve common configuration problems.

After registering a domain, add DNS records to point it to your server.

Steps

  • Open Console → Domains and select the domain.
  • Open DNS records.
  • Add a record. Common types include A for an IPv4 address, AAAA for IPv6, CNAME for an alias, MX for mail, and TXT for verification.
  • Save the record and wait for it to propagate.

Propagation time

  • New and changed records normally take effect within a few minutes to tens of minutes. The exact time depends on the record's TTL and recursive DNS caches in different locations.
  • If a test immediately after the change still returns the old value, a local cache is the likely cause. Try again later or verify from another network.
