Domain Registration & DNS
Search and register domains, configure DNS, basic vs. accelerated resolution, transfers in/out, and contact management.
On NextCLi you can search and register domains, configure DNS, transfer between providers, and manage domain contacts. This article walks through the full flow.
Search & register
- Enter the domain you want on the "Register domain" page; the system checks availability in real time and shows the price for each suffix.
- Add available domains to the cart and choose a registration term.
- Fill in / select the domain contact information, confirm the order and pay from your balance.
- Once registered, the domain appears in the "Console → Domains" list with an active status.
Domain search: real-time availability and prices per suffix
> Some suffixes support free WHOIS privacy protection. Multi-year registration is typically first-year price + renewal price × (years − 1).
DNS management
Open a domain's workspace → DNS to add, edit and delete records:
My domains: manage DNS, renewal and transfers for registered domains here
- Common record types are supported: A / AAAA / CNAME / MX / TXT, etc.
- Enter the host, value and TTL; after saving, records propagate globally over the resolution's effective time.
The platform offers two resolution modes:
- Basic resolution: uses the registrar's native DNS, works out of the box.
- Accelerated resolution: after joining the acceleration network, resolution is faster and more stable; in this mode some settings (such as TTL and the proxy toggle) are presented per the acceleration network's capabilities.
You can switch resolution modes in the domain workspace; the system migrates the records on switch.
Renewal & auto-renewal
- Renew manually on the domain workspace's renewal page, or enable auto-renewal to deduct automatically at expiry.
- Domains have a grace period after expiry, but renew before expiry whenever possible to avoid the costly redemption period or release.
Transfer in & out
- Transfer in: bring a domain registered elsewhere under NextCLi management — usually requires the transfer authorization code (EPP/Auth Code) and unlocking the domain.
- Transfer out: initiate a transfer-out in the domain's advanced settings, obtain the auth code, and complete the transfer at the target provider.
Contact management
Maintain registrant / admin / tech / billing contacts under "Domain contacts"; you can reference them directly when registering or transferring.
Common questions
- DNS not taking effect? Check the record type and value are correct and wait for the TTL to elapse; in accelerated mode, confirm the proxy/cloud toggle state.
- Can I transfer out? Yes — follow the transfer-out flow to obtain the auth code; note that some domains cannot be transferred within 60 days of registration (a general registrar rule).
